Delfin will commence works on the Chisholm Drive Extension and Western Highway Intersection Works in the week commencing Monday 25 May 2009. These are required works as part of our approved master plan, and will complete Delfin works in this precinct.
Works will include the extension of the south end of Chisholm Drive to meet the Western Highway, and construction of a new signalised intersection at this location. In addition, there will be slow treatments and splitter islands installed in the existing section of Chisholm Drive to better manage through traffic travelling along this route to the Western Highway.
The new Chisholm Drive Extension and Western Highway Intersection is anticipated to be complete for public use by mid November 2009.
Normal construction hours will be 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and 7.00am to 2.00pm on Saturdays. During the construction period there will be increased activity around the area with construction plant, equipment, and delivery vehicles accessing the site. Limited construction traffic will use Chisholm Drive, with larger construction traffic being restricted to access the site directly from the Western Highway.
