A free family fun day at the soon to be created Atherstone community in Melbourne’s west will be held at Tabcorp Park on Saturday 12th November from 11am. Atherstone is located in Melton South, and is approximately 15 minutes from Lend Lease's Caroline Springs community.
The fun day will celebrate the community’s first land release, with land options starting from $145,000. Registrations for the first land release will close at 11.30am and the ballot will be drawn at 1.30pm.
Free bus tours of Lend Lease’s newest community will be on offer, along with an array of free activities to keep the whole family entertained, including fairground rides, go carts, an animal farm, an adult bungee run and visits from Dorothy the Dinosaur and a surprise AFL star.
“The fun day is an ideal opportunity to bring the family along and discover what Atherstone has to offer, including the land options available,” said Project Director, Sean Pinan.
“Atherstone is set to deliver 4,500 new homes to Melbourne’s expanding west and provides first homebuyers with a real opportunity to break into the property market.
“From its landscaped streets to its native creek-side forests and walking trails, Atherstone will be designed to ensure that residents both young and old can grow and thrive in a safe and comfortable environment for the long term,” said Mr Pinan.
In addition to the family fun and entertainment at Tabcorp Park, the creators and builders of the up and coming community will be on hand to offer information and advice.
Created under a joint venture between Lend Lease and Melton Shire Council, Atherstone will ultimately be home to around 14,000 people, over 4,500 homes, schools, civic and community facilities, neighbourhood shopping centre and 131 hectares of open space that will include recreation ovals, waterways, hike and bike trails, parks and gardens.
