Home Safety
Home is a special place when you are growing up. It’s a place to explore, to have adventures and to play. Unfortunately, the home is also the most common place for young children to be indejured.
Most accidents are predictable and preventable. Try to make the home environment as safe as possible before the baby arrives and before your child starts crawling.
Please find below links to organisations who provide further information on a wide range of safety topics.

Construction Site Safety
Please keep out of construction sites
Where you see a construction site at Caroline Springs, do not under any circumstances enter the site. Drivers of large machinery on cannot see cars or people walking or cycling around construction sites – especially children.
There are many other hazards including uneven surfaces, mud and other debris. Please advise children of these hazards and to stay clear of these areas.
Keep out of undeveloped areas
The undeveloped areas of Caroline Springs are private property and therefore not accessible to the general public.
These areas may be undergoing preliminary survey and engineering works.
Out Driving
Be cautious and aware of large trucks delivering materials to areas where there are homes or subdivisions under construction.
Please drive slowly in Caroline Springs streets and keep your eye out of young children crossing or playing in the street.
Water Safety
Diving, swimming and all motorised sports are prohibited in all waterways and lakes in Caroline Springs. However, canoeing and kayaking are allowed on Lake Caroline.
All children must be accompanied by an adult when enjoying these water activities.
Many Lend Lease residential developments have specially designed and landscaped lakes, wetlands and swales that act to filter stormwater when it rains. Given the quality of this stormwater run-off and other risks generally associated with these lakes and wetlands, swimming is not permitted in any Lend Lease waterways.
