GreenPass Plant of the Month

Plant of the Month - February 10 - Escalonia 'Pink Pixi'

Escalonia ‘Pink Pixi’ is a dwarf species of evergreen shrub suitable for use in a range of garden styles. It has upright densely packed braches of small green glossy foliage with bright pink flowers that appear from Spring right through to Autumn.

Its compact form makes it a great little hedging plant for Formal garden styles and it also fits in well in a Cottage or Mediterranean style garden. And they also look great in pots for a splash of colour on your courtyard or balcony.

They grow up to 80cm x 80cm tall, have a moderate growth rate and require minimal amounts of water.  Plant in a sunny spot, and trim back in Autumn after they have finished flowering. Feed in Spring with a slow release fertiliser.
