Town Centre Vacant Lot 2006 and Northlake Wetland
Over the years since Creekside Campus was constructed families have utilised this vacant lot for additional car parking. Delfin recommend that once children are of an appropriate age and/or maturity level, or under supervision of a parent or walking school bus that they walk or ride to school.
New pedestrian links including the bridge underpass and access to The Grove via The Grange Village road that leads to Old Hall Drive have now all been completed. This gives students easy safe access to all town centre schools without the need to cross Caroline Springs Boulevard. There are supervised school crossings, traffic signals or crosswalks to all town centre schools.
For more information on the Walking School Bus program residents are encouraged to contact Jan Webb, Road Safety/Active Transport Officer at Melton Shire Council on 9747 7111. There are established Walking School Buses to Creekside and Springside Campuses with one expected to start at Brookside this year. More information regarding the program can be found online by clicking here.
