Health conscious residents of Caroline Springs have welcomed a recently installed fitness circuit that includes innovative exercise equipment for groups and individuals to enjoy. There are fourteen different fitness apparatuses situated along the designated walking trails, which range from 1.2 to 3 kilometres in Caroline Springs. Set up in four stations along the trails the gym equipment includes Push Up Bars and a Cycle Seat to the more complex machines, such as a Leg Lift and Ab-Cruncher. Each machine has a description on how to use for those not familiar with the equipment.
The fitness circuit is one of Lend Lease’s final touches to the community it has created for the last thirteen years.
Caroline Springs Project Director Sean Pinan encourages all residents to explore the walking trails and experience the benefits of the new fitness circuit.
“Caroline Springs is a fully established and thriving community and the fitness equipment is just one more element that makes this address special.”
“People of all ages can have a go. It’s a great way to exercise outdoors at no cost, particularly as the weather is starting to improve,” Mr Pinan said.
Mayor of Melton Shire Council, Cr Justin Mammarella JP also welcomes the fitness circuit on behalf of the Council, commenting that it helps promote health and wellbeing in the community.
“In the Shire of Melton we are committed to a healthy and well connected community. Having a fitness circuit in Caroline Springs promotes physical activity and brings people together,” the Mayor said.
The circuit is located along Kororoit Approach in the The Point Village park. |
